I have a bunch of tips or recommendations to help my clients prepare for their newborn studio session, and here I’ll share my top three.
- Dress your baby in an easy to remove onesie! – Usually this is going to be zippered pajamas, never anything that can only come off over the head. I undress them down to the diaper for every session and being able to undress them easier with minimal movement is key!
- Bring a pacifier! Okay, this is not a MUST because I know not every family wants to use one, but this is still a strong recommendation. A pacifier is a wonderful tool to help settle a baby at a session. Even if your baby doesn’t seem to care for one, pack it just in case.
- Don’t stress! Will the baby cooperate?? Will my toddler behave? No need to worry. I will roll with how things unfold, and I have strategies up my sleeve. I have a full list of how to prepare that goes out in an email to all booked clients which should help ease any “what ifs” and when you get to the studio, I’ll encourage you to just relax and enjoy.
